Continuous crash problem editor 4.6

Hello everyone,

I did it again siscrizione to EU4, purroppo but I have problems with the editor.

It 'a continuous crash every game that I make, I have always repeat it all over again and do not understand the problem.

I lost many hours to rebuild everything, even doing the back-up of the project, continuing always to have crashes.

I have already written about the problems of the editor but unanswered.
I wanted to know if I could be helped to resolve my problem.

With this ongoing problem, I can not take advantage of my membership.
The editor in particular that I’m using is the 4.6 and use a mac pro 8 core with 32G and a graphics card nvidia 4000 for mac (running).

Using the crash report logs you’ve provided, I’ve entered the following crash report, JIRA [UE 7514]. However in order to pinpoint the specific reason for your crash please do the following:

Next crash, hit “Submit” button on pop-up window then cut and paste text from callstack and post it here. The information from “Submit” is much more in depth and is not automatically sent when you have a crash nor included in the log you provided.

I have also noticed an increase in crashes with version 4.6.

Not to the point where I feel the engine is unusable or anything, but it is a little annoying.

I’ve been submitting crash reports, but was wondering if there is any progress on the issues?

I do notice there is a preview to the 4.7 build so I expect more engineers will be working on that.

Could I assume that most issues will be resolved when 4.7 rolls out.

(I get that as the engine evolves new issues will come to light, but these are the joys of working with an ever improving program). =)

Unfortunately the crash continue forever and are completely stopped with my work.

I lost a lot of time behind you have to work (not very important) for continuing crash, I truly hope that these problems are resolved quickly because as I said before I’m stuck with my work.

So you’re saying it’s a problem in version 4.6?
if it was just as I do to continue my work?

There is no solution for the moment to solve the continuous crash?

I believe in unrealengine has for years that use UDK and the paid version of EU4 are confident and believe in you.

Sorry mate, just another game developer. Have no idea if the problems are to do with the engine or something else. Just thought I might chime in and throw in my 2 cents. Been having a few issues, but nothing that keeps me from working.

I notice that a crash occurs right after I do something specific and I test it a few times to make sure it wasn’t random (submitting crash reports, of course).

Hopefully the devs aren’t too overwhelmed with other things to fix everything.

The error is due to something strange that I can not understand.
I work with great care and precision being careful to possible errors.
It 'the first time that I happen to have problems using this version 4.6.Ho tried to convert the project with version 4.7, but without success.
Imagine, hours of work with models, materials, levels etc etc lost in a second …

All this happens when I want to save the map, a maneuver quite normal.

I hope to receive a lot of help, because I would have to change systems to continue to work and honestly I would not do questo.Ritengo EU4 the number 1 in the world, for many things which offers EU4.

I look in the full version 4.7, and then I’ll see.
The thing that bothers me is the fact that I paid for a subscription, and not be able to use or save my job.

I have the exact same problem here. The engine stop work from nothing, doing nothing(completely stopped, in background )

I’m going crazy … do not know anymore what to do to continue with my map !!!

This issue has been reported as UE-7289 and will be addressed in a near future build of the engine. In the meantime, as a troubleshooting measure you can do the following:

  • Create a duplicate of the project folder in your documents directory.
  • In the duplicate folder, navigate to “Content” folder
  • Order folders by Date Modified
  • Delete latest folder and open the duplicate project
  • Save file
  • If crashes, repeat above steps deleting the next folder
  • If not, you have isolated the folder containing the asset that is causing the engine to crash
  • From here you can continue to work omitting that asset until it can be examined further

While tedious, this could at least get you back up and running while the underlying issue is being fixed.

I managed to locate the file compromise.

When you create a blueprint via “EVENT DISPATCHER” to send an action to a trigger, unfortunately crashes.

eliminating the blueprint with event dispatcher "the problem vanishes and ability to save your work.

We hope that solve this annoying bug.
