When i run the installer i get a message “newer version already installed” when unreal 4 has never been installed on my computer. after that message to shows me the “unreal wizard has ended prematurely”. any insight would be appreciated. thanks
Can you tell me what version of the installer you are using? If you give me the full name of the .msi you are using or the version number that appears in the lower left of the install dialogs I’ll have the info I need.
Windows Installer is capable of generating detailed logs of the install process. It would be helpful to get these logs to pinpoint the root of the issue. Are you part of the Fortnite Alpha? If so, you already have everything you need installed. Open your launcher and press the + button next to your Fortnite tab and you should be good to go. Just make sure to log in using the credentials that match your UE4 subscription.
