(4.6) Android: How do I remove the Navigation Bar

The navigation bar is located at the bottom of the screen

I’m not quite sure how to remove it from the screen. I’ve browsed the Manifest.xml and all the Android settings in the Editor… I can’t find an answer. Someone else asked [here][2] a little while ago with no luck also.

Please advise.

When programming directly for Android, we have to use:

View decorView = getWindow().getDecorView();

// Hide both the navigation bar and the status bar.

// SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_FULLSCREEN is only available on Android 4.1 and higher, but as

// a general rule, you should design your app to hide the status bar whenever you

// hide the navigation bar.

int uiOptions = View.SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_HIDE_NAVIGATION
| View.SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_FULLSCREEN;
decorView.setSystemUiVisibility(uiOptions);

So I would probably check for something like that.
