Ai set focus bug

If I set the focus point of an AI to be an actor that does not move, everything works as expected.

however, if I set the focus point to be based on the ai’s location with an offset (in my case for strafing), the ai will briefly slip towards it and then flip back.

In the picture I am using the 1. method where a focus point floats based on the wall. If I use the method shown in 2, where the direction is got from the wall but added to the position of the agent, it fails to work.

Sorry for the delay in response. I have been investigating this issue, but have a few questions. Are you using the Set Default Focus service or are you doing it elsewhere? Could you give me some more details about your set up and screenshots of the blueprints/BT? Any additional information may help me recreate the problem and find a solution

I have looked into this a bit more, but I think I may be doing things differently. Please let me know if you have the answers to my previous questions and I will be happy to continue investigating.
