This is primarily for the dev team.
Can you guys please answer these questions:

  1. Largest possible fully detailed
    complex world? for example, 1:1
    earth? 10:1 earth? 1:0.5 earth?
  2. Is there any current in engine support
    for developing an MMO?
  3. Could you make a tutorial for adding custom particles to an object? or even just current particles?
    (showing how to make your flaming orb from the gdc video)
  4. Is there a current limit on view able particles?
  5. Considering the engine can create the stand alone client, do you think you could build in a equivalent server client?(basically just something that emulates mysql or the like without needing Microsoft)
  6. Do you guys suggest any prior learning?

Thanks for taking a look, I do have access to a copy of the engine, I was just curious about the above details as they are now quite easy to work out from a simple perspective.

I can answer on first 2 questions, and it would be better if you ask questions about different subsystems in separate topics.

Is there any current in engine support
for developing an MMO?

If you mean MMO with a large worlds like WoW, you will need a custom server solution to make it work. Our licensees use UE as a client and implement their own server solution for MMO games.

Can someone please answer the other questions.
