What do I do if the download gets stuck at 80% with the QFE installed?

Hello

After having problems with the launcher update being stuck at 80%, I replaced the .exe with the QFE that was released and it went straight into the launcher without an update…Now it only says syncing your account and after a while download error, retry? After clicking retry it just keeps saying Please Wait… Is this a bug or is it because of slow download speeds?

OS: Windows 8.1

Hey! Sorry didn’t see your extra post here. Probably easier for us to work through your issue here instead as the other posts are getting a bit noisy.

Your log shows you retrying the downloads - and one time, you nearly got them all ok, and only the UE4.0 manifest did not succeed.

I asked on the other post, what you currently have in your DefaultEngine.ini for the HTTP setting, could you reply here instead :slight_smile:

I’m so sorry for the late reply! :frowning: In their respective order 720, 2000, 2000

Will it work if I try downloading it at a faster network? I’m currently having problems with my home ADSL.

Hey Boompit! Yeah you should have much better luck on a faster network

Wow that was a fast reply! :slight_smile: Thanks a lot for your great support to me and the others! Your Epic! (literaly… :D) I’m itching to use the most awesome engine ever! :slight_smile:

I also have the same problem, after QFE, did the same as Boompit, still got the error.

nvm, its now working, but it went back to 0% though, after I only got 30% left

I still have this problem. I’ve tried all the suggested solutions in this thread and here link but I’m still having no luck. Here are my latest logs link

Hey all,

For those still seeing issues like this even with the QFE(2) patch, please also try these steps, there is an extra HTTP timeout that can be increased for users with slow connections.

Locate DefaultEngine.ini

C:\Program Files\Unreal Engine\Launcher\Engine\Programs\NoRedist\UnrealEngineLauncher\Config\DefaultEngine.ini

Add to the very end the following four separate lines:

[HTTP]
HttpTimeout=600
HttpConnectionTimeout=180
HttpReceiveTimeout=180
HttpSendTimeout=180

Let me know if that helps!
Leigh

Hi Leigh, Yes, that seems to have done the trick. Thanks a lot.

Ok so quick update.

I upgraded my internet speed and although it showed 0mb/s download speed I could see the download size reducing from 80MB to 40MB and finally installing. And its done!

Great news JZAcH. Are you running OSX or Win? OSX has a known UI issue with 0B/s, but if it’s Win i will have to investigate that too :slight_smile:
