GPU particles fail to display random/uniform initial colors

So I was attempting to give my GPU particles random initial colors using the ‘Use Extremes’ feature so the random/uniform color range only stays between the two colors I set.

Yet it wont work with GPU particles at all (with or without the ‘Use Extremes’ function within the Initial Color Module), no sort of random coloring will work, nor random UV frame display which is quite disappointing.

These features are crucial in order to give GPU particles a better dynamic look without creating so many different emitters.

Will this feature be fixable for the next releases of the engine?

Thanks!

It’s happening the same to me, god, 1 hour trying to see what I was doing wrong, and it was a bug/limitation =/

So, anything new about this?

According to UE4 Documentations about GPU Particles:

in “Color” section:

  • Initial color determined at spawn time. This color is the same for all particles.
