Changing the pose of a character

I am using the default HeroTPP_Skeleton and HeroTPP mesh and I was wondering if there is a way to change the position of the user to be in a sitting position. I tried modifying it in the skeleton tree and then after I save and reopen it, the position is the default one where the arms are sticking out. I am able to do this inside the UE 4 editor or do I need to use something like Maya to change this?

Hi,

You are right, you must use something like Maya or 3dsMax to create new animation / poses for your character, modifying the bones positions in UE4 is for preview only.

There are extended animation package for the HeroTPP in the Marketplace, you should have a look there.

Thanks. Since I did not need a transition, I just used a posable mesh and then in the construction blueprint I moved the bones by name to the required position.
