UMG Animation

Hey there,
i am currently using the umg feature for the first time and everything worked just fine until i tried to create an animation…
via the Autokey button i can create a slide or things like that but i have to eyeball the time on which the keys have to be placed… thats not very great

is there a way like in matinee to enable a snapping or something like this to set the keys more precise?

Hi BeeHive,

Thank you for the post, I have created a feature request ticket and submitted it to the developers. The ticket number is UE-11682 for reference. If there is anything else that I can help with just post a comment and I would be happy to do what I can for you.

Thanks,

Hi BeeHive,

Snapping was actually implemented for version 4.7. Just upgrade to the latest version using the Unreal Engine Launcher and you should see the snapping options in the toolbar of the UMG animation timeline.

Thanks,

Hi ,
yes, thats what i am talking about

thanks

We have a lot of great improvements coming to UMG Animation for the next engine release. I can’t give you an exact time frame for that right now, but if you are able to work from the latest source code on GitHub some features like curve editor integration and playback controls are available.
