Could not save file for Maya Animation Rigging Toolset

Maya rigging and animation tool Help
I follow the instruction and this is what I get when i try to build rig:
Could not save file: C:/Program Files/Unreal Engine/4.0/Engine/Extras/Maya_AnimationRiggingTools/MayaTools/General/ART/Projects/Sample/ExportFiles/d_Export.mb not a valid file.
File may exist already and be marked as read only. Aborting operation.

It says D:/ in FillisterDock??!! Ive tried everything, followed the tutorials over and over again. What am I doing wrong. Could someone tell how they get it working???

Hi Daniel, have you checked to see if the folder it’s saving to is marked Read-Only? If so, try turning off Read-Only, then save your rig.

Ok
I guess you turn off Read Only by uncecking the blue squear in the folder’s properties of the Maya Tool folder?! I did but the error is still there. By the way I keep the Maya Tool folder in the Program directory/Unrel Engine. Guess that’s where it should be?

Strange when I look again at the folder it is Read Only again Does not seem to stay off.

Hi again, even if I turn off Read Only for the entire Unreal Engine folder and keep it off, the error remain.

I’m seeing the same thing on my system as well. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I’ll enter a bug report so that the right people can get eyes on this.

What version of Maya re you running, Daniel? Is it by chance a student license? Any information you can provide would be most appreciated! Thanks!

yes jeremy it happens with student edition, i can’t to say with the normal version of maya.

Adric showed me this question after I asked about the same issues. I have Maya 2014 Student edition 64 bit. So it seems like it is the student edition that is acting up for some inexplicable reason.

I don’t mean to complain on your hard work but the new update preview is out and there is no mention about fixing the toolkit so it works properly. I think I recall seeing you saying that the fix was ready and you were waiting to push out the update?

i posted the fix several days ago here :

resolved!
