Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Importing from Blender - Character

Hayhoo (°^° ),

So I am trying (at least an hour now ...) to import a Character to Unreal Engine 4 . I don't know why and I tried like almost everything but every time i try to import my Character, Unreal instantly crashes. About 20 min ago I (kinda) successfully imported my Character (although he was all messed up (his arms were on the floor the only thing that was kinda normal were the knees and the feet)) and I don't know what I did different then all the other times I imported him -.-" ....

I attached my Import / Export settings and the .blend file of my Character

I hope somebody can help me with that D:

Here's an official thread on importing characters from Blender to UE4:

Unreal Engine Forums: Twitch Support Stream – Blender Animation & UE4 – Jan. 13th, 2015

They have a link in the starting post of the thread for downloading blend files for the default hero character from Unreal Engine. If you have been trying out with a custom character until now, you can just try it out with this one and settings given there to see if it's a problem with mesh or rather an issue with import/export. They have put up screenshots for the blender export option as well.
