[4.7p4] project icon doesn't package

Hey,

This seems to be a classic, i just want to mention it is still there in 4.7p4.

When i package my game, the icon is setup correctly the first time, but after that and for all succeeding packaging it comes back to the ue4 icon.

As a workaround, i suppose i can manually change the icon after packaging. Anything else to change before going through inno setup ?

Cheers

Cedric

oops, it’s not a shortcut, i can’t change the icon that simply.

So is there a workaround ? It worked only once (the first time i defined the icon).

I tried to erase the yag.ico in the resource dir, and rechoose my picture but no luck.

seems to be random.

I tried to suppress everything and repackage, the icon didn’t display correctly, now it does, i don’t know why.

I will update if i find a pattern^^

This is not solved.

I just tried two times to suppress everything and repackage, the icon is still the ue4 one and not the one i chose.

I don’t know why it works sometimes, but in general it doesn’t work.

Hi ,

I just tried this on my end and the icon came through as intended. Can you tell me what steps you are taking to reproduce this on your end? Thank you!

Hey ,

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately (?) i have been trying to reproduce the pb 5 times in a row but it worked correctly each time.

I don’t know what to say, the exact same steps didn’t work when i opened (and reopened) this ticket.

For what it’s worth, here is how i do: i am using windows 8.1, i define an image icon, delete the previous packaged directory, then package for windows 64.

I always did and still do those steps, but sometimes the .exe is displayed with the icon i chose, and sometimes it is displayed with the ue4 icon.

I understand this is not a clear protocol allowing a clear reproduction of my issue which seems quite random for the moment.

If you need to close the issue for your stats, let’s close it, i will reopen it if i find a pattern or a way to reproduce it systematically.

Thanks

Cedric

Hi ,

I’m happy to hear that it does seem to be working for you. I am going to mark this as answered for now. If you do find repro steps that I can follow please feel free to post them here and I’ll be more than happy to take another look.
