Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How would I go about exporting rigs from 3D's max using the normal max bone system.

alt text

So as you can see in the images here, everything works fine in max and on my imported asset, untill I start playing my animation, that's when everything suddenly shrinks down into a smeagol pose, been at it for hours now. Every single rig I export using Maxbones does this.

And no, I have not been scaling any joints.

Hey Traggey,

There's some pretty useful information about how to import FBX files here: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Content/FBX/index.html

There's also a forum post with some great answers by our development team here: https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?1092-Okay-I-m-ready-to-give-up-I-need-some-help-here-with-my-rig

Hope that helps!
