How do I create a touch-enabled drag-able slider?
I'm working on a mobile GUI using UMG, and I'm running into an issue where I don't quite understand how to create a touch-enabled interactive slider that the player can drag/adjust while playing. I can get the slider on the screen, and I can have it show the current value of the associated variable. But I want the player to be able to touch and drag this slider while playing. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?
Hello Praetor Xjun,
The issue is occurring because of the binding for the value of the slider. Whatever values you have setting this binding will determine the value and because of this the value will only change when the conditions for the binding are met. In this case it would seem that the value will only change when the float "CurrentXXXX" or "MaxXXXXX" are changed. This means that the slider is locked in place until one of those values becomes updated. This is why you cannot slide the bar to change the value.
As a way to test this, you can simply remove the binding and then try to use the slider. The slider should work as expected then. I hope this information helps.
Make it a great day
