ReInstall require old version of installation

I decide to reinstall my UE, becouse it becomes to crash on launch. OK, I have delete all files, remove components on disk C, clean registry, download new launcher. But when I start it, appears a windows that says, that I need an old version of installer to uninstall this(secondscreenshot). But I’m sure, that I have unistalled all, that I can. Please, help me. (Sorry for my english).

Now, why I decide to delete such way. I have tried to unistall from Control Panel, but unistalling require old version of installer too(second screenshot too). That’s why I become deleting manually. I thought it would help. And now I also can’t unistall it.

This seems like a non-standard way of uninstalling something. Is there a reason you didn’t just uninstall from Add Remove Programs (also known as Programs and Features) ? (Ex: Windows 7 - Start->Control Panel->Programs->Uninstall a program)

It looks like the installer is trying to perform an upgrade which means that the new installer is still detecting fragments of your previous install. I suspect it is failing because you removed the necessary registry entries it uses to find all the parts when performing this upgrade.

Perhaps you can try this:
Go to Control Panel->Programs->Uninstall a program. Once there, right click the Unreal Engine or Epic Games Launcher entry and select Uninstall. Once complete, you should be able to run the new installer.

Sory, I did not say, why I decide to delete such way. Of course, I have tried to unistall such way, but unistalling require old version of installer too) That’s why I become deleting manually. And now I also can’t unistall it.
Thanks, now i will refresh question.

Thank you for the clarification. This is an odd issue that I don’t think we have seen before. I’ll try to help track down the problem and provide a workaround but I need to collect a bit more info.

Do you happen to have the older installer it is asking for? In other words, does the downloads folder have the .msi file it is asking for?

Would you be able to provide me with the installer logs? To get the installer logs you’ll need to start the installer from the command line with a few parameters. You can zip up the logs and attach them right to the thread. More info about starting the installer with logging parameters can be found here: A new, community-hosted Unreal Engine Wiki - Announcements - Epic Developer Community Forums

OK, here is my log file. (Maybe it is important, I put installer not to C:\ like in instruction, but to another disk, because it was troubles with access).
And one more notice, that I have forget mention. Before ask old version of installer, launcher tells, that will install in folder, but I can’t change it, and it don’t show where it will install. I attached screenshot of this window.

I reinstalled windows, and now all is OK

I am having this same issue. Is there a fix that doesn’t involve reinstalling windows? Thank you

Depending on which version of Windows you are running you could try Microsoft Fixit which is advertised to fix issues preventing things from being installed/uninstalled:

had the same problem and Microsoft Fixit helped me
