I have been following Savai Kun’s inventory tutorials , keeping to his old ways of creating the inventory, since the new methods he uses later were very confusing (especially since I didn’t get them to work, and I retried 3-4 times). All is in place, but I’m unable to get the character to pick up the items.
I have been trying to get them to work by retracing the steps, several times, also scrapped everything and started anew, but still unable to get the character to pick up items, part of this, I’m sure, is that I’m not entirely sure about what he’s doing and why (rather new to the whole game creating thing). Tried a debug… and discovered that the setup in this part of the tutorial
does not fire at all.

Anyone who have a pointer or fix for the pickup item conundrum I have? preferably put in layman’s terms as I’m not familiar with the terms in UE4 yet
As I’m very new to this, any help in picking up items would be appreciated
