World composition : import tiled landscape, is there a way to specify the Z position of the imported (tiled) landscape?

Hi there,

When importing a TILED LANDSCAPE in world composition, is there a way to specify or modifiy its Z position ?

With the default Z position when importing, my landscape is very far under the grid, and it becomes very hard to place any mesh or brush in it…

In the other hands I have some elements (static meshes ie) that need to be placed regarding the altitude in the landscape, how to manage that if I cannot set the Z position for my landscape ?

Any help would be great

Cheers

PS : I’m using UE 4.6.1

I know this is an old question, but I have not found a reasonable answer. I have seen you can do it at the component level, but that causes other issues with painting. Anybody have an answer for this?

I found a way. Not sure if this is intended, or if there are any negative consequences of doing this. But you can copy the position from another scene actor, and paste it to the tiled landscape. It seems to be working fine for me in 4.17.2, but I’m not using world origin shifting, I’m not sure if this will break that.

this doesnt work, location switches back to original the moment you load your lvl in WC
