Unreal Editor crashes on startup after C++ addition

This is very likely related to my last problem.

These are the steps I took:

  1. Starting with a template project (the 1st-person shooter one)
  2. Added a C++ class
  3. Added code to the C++ class
  4. Included a custom static library (a Kinect listener), and the Kinect SDK static libraries
  5. Compiled the project successfully on Debug Editor and Development Editor
  6. Opened the Editor

After opening the Editor with the compiled project, it crashed while in the background twice. Now, every time I open the Editor, it crashes on startup. Here is my callstack:

Why is this happening? What can I do to fix it?

Update: I can confirm this only happens on this one project.

I eventually found out that the crash was due to the project trying to instantiate my class, and failing, during the editor startup.
