Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

thin poly strips for indidual hairs - spline thicken only works on one UV direction - solutions?

Hi there,

I have a mesh consisting of several hundred thin poly strips representing individual hairs. By using a spline thicken, I can control their thickness according to the tip and base; by changing the float value 'Expand U or V UV Channel' I can adjust which point of view if looks correct from, but it never looks correct from all angles.

I thought a solution would be to thicken the actual poly strips, and then thicken the spline in the opposite direction, but this hasn't worked - I always seem to get thickness in one direction and razor thinness on the other.

Any solutions that could be offered would be gratefully received!

Thank you.
