I have a mesh consisting of several hundred thin poly strips representing individual hairs. By using a spline thicken, I can control their thickness according to the tip and base; by changing the float value ‘Expand U or V UV Channel’ I can adjust which point of view if looks correct from, but it never looks correct from all angles.
I thought a solution would be to thicken the actual poly strips, and then thicken the spline in the opposite direction, but this hasn’t worked - I always seem to get thickness in one direction and razor thinness on the other.
Any solutions that could be offered would be gratefully received!
