Trees not affected by wind with foliage tool

My trees made in Speed tree are static when i place them with the foliage tool. No wind. If i drag them as a static mesh the wind works but with the foliage nothing… I’m using the Master branch from github version 4.8.0 it says. Any ideea why this might happen ?

I’m having the exact same issue… any progress?

I have just tested this on our internal build of 4.8 CL-2505032 and all is working fine that I can see for Static and Foliage placed meshes.

The Wind Directional Actor did change though to have a lower default setting. Instead of Speed and Strength being set to 1 they now default to 0.1.

Try using a higher value and see if that works.

If that’s not working take a look at your material setup and make sure you’re using the SpeedTree Node plugged into the World Position Offset pin.

When this node is selected you can set the Geometry, wind, LOD types for the asset.
