Creating A Usable Camera?,Take A Picture And View It After

I am kind of new in unreal engine and i was wondering if it would be possible to take “pictures” with camera and then go through them in game.

Hi Mike,

I would suggest you to take a look at the SceneCapture2D-Component and play arround with the “deactivate/activate” functions as well as the “set Texture Target” function.

I havent tested it myself, but i could imagine that this will work.

I’m looking into this too.

Life Is Strange found some decent solutions, which it looks like Sb02 recreated successfully enough (here’s a link)

Architect9 alsoe released a Blueprint for In Game Photography which looks pretty decent (here’s another link)

I’m thinking of something along the lines of a cross between Life Is Strange and the latest Fatal Frame game (last link, I promise) which identifies and tracks targets in frame, so we know what the player is taking photos of.

I’m just starting my research, so I’ll post anything I find here, but if anyone has good references, tips, tricks etc. I would be very grateful.
