Apex Cloth Crash on set Clothing selection
The crash is 100% reproducible when setting the cloth on the material, after importing the .apx file into the mesh.
The apex file is one that uses a custom lower resolution physical mesh that is different than the graphical mesh. This is something that is built into Apex but I haven't gotten this to work in UE 4.6 from either 3dsmax or Maya.
Could someone attempt to reproduce this with my test files?
Rar contains, fbx mesh and apex cloth files. Apex and FBX files

I'm able to reproduce the crash with this particular file, but I've not been able to reproduce this from scratch.
I'm using 3Ds Max 2013 with PXL DCC Plugin for 3.3.2.
I was able to take your mesh, skin it, and add a new painted cloth material exported as APB instead of APX with no issue.
There may be some corruption with the APX file that is causing the issue, but I cannot test since it will only crash.
Can you try exporting the scene as a apb?
You can see my entire process with the DCC plugin in Max here: https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?56777-Photons-Be-Free-Mini-tutorials-and-other-curiosities&p=212061&viewfull=1#post212061
Let me know.
