Use background image for terrain sculpting

Hi.

I want to sculpt a part of a golf course for which I have a birds eye view as an image.

Is it possible, like in an 3d modelling application to have that image in the background while modeling, so I can better sculpt the terrain because I see where a hill is, where a bunker is etc…

Greetings,
Alex

There is no way to do this in the editor by using any settings or a built in option. If you want to do something like this though you could always just import a single plane that you could lay flat above your terrain. Make a material that you want to use as your overlay. Input an set opacity value so you can see through it that way when you sculpt from the top down position you’ll have something similar.
