[4.6.1] Strange colors after all shaders compile (Linux)

Branch: ‘Source’ build from the release tree on GitHub.

Build Version: 4.6.1-0+UE4

Detailed description of the issue: I just successfully downloaded and compiled the Unreal Editor. After I created a project with starter content enabled, about 4,000 shaders compiled. Once all shaders were compiled, you can clearly see strange colors and lens flares all over the place in the StarterMap.

Screenshots:

Almost all shaders compiled. Looking normal.

All shaders compiled. Doesn’t look quite right.

Repro steps:

  1. Download [4.6.1-release.zip][3] from GitHub.
  2. Unzip and run Setup.sh
  3. Run GenerateProjectFiles.sh
  4. Run make ShaderCompileWorker UnrealLightmass UnrealPak UE4Editor
  5. Start up UE4Editor and create a new project with starter content.

I have already downloaded and build twice, once from the zip and once from a git clone. I had the issue both times.

System Specs:

  • OS: elementary OS 0.3 Beta (Based on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4670S (4x3.1GHz)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (running on proprietary NVIDIA drivers, version 340.76)
  • RAM: 8GB DDR3 RAM

UPDATE:

I have now also downloaded and built version 4.7.0-0+++depot+UE4-Releases+4.7. In this version, I don’t have this issue.

Hello -

This issue appears to be corrected in the 4.7.0 version. If it should reoccur, please let us know.

Thank You

Eric Ketchum

Yes, as I stated in the Edit, I don’t have this issue anymore.
