Why am I getting strange shadows on my mesh after baking?

Hi,

I keep seeing these weird shadows on several of my meshes after baking lighting. The best example would be my cryotube here -

Those dark splotches on the latches are what I’m talking about. I tried upping the lightmaps all the way up to 1024 to no effect. None of the UV’s overlap and I used FBX export from 3DsMax. Any help appreciated.

It could be that the light map resolution for your object is too small
