Applying a variety of materials to mesh LODs (mousedrop)

Hello everybody,

My question involves applying (instanced) materials to existing objects. I wish to drop a large variety of textures onto, for example, a series of similar buildings or wall sections. When I mousedrop these onto meshes these only get applied to the base lod. So far, I have solved this going thru every layer in the details panel. I was wondering if there’s a faster way?
