Is it possible to get the distance between bones on an animated mesh?

Hello,

I would like to know if is possible to get the distance between two bones on an animated mesh.
Example:
Head bone to foot bone, so when the character moves I can check the distance between them in realtime, also if possible to use a log node that shows me in the viewport what that distance is?
Alternatively ( if the distance between bones is not doable ) is it possible to attach a socket to my bones and then check the distance between the two sockets ( with the distance displayed in the viewport as above )?
