Cannot deploy project to iPad, can deploy to iPhone

Hello, I am having trouble deploying my project o iPad, this same project works fine to be deployed on iPhone. Is there something I’m doing wrong, or is this a bug?

Ok, looks like you are having the same issue as another user which we haven’t nailed down yet, but hopefully between the two of you we can find something in common. What is the iOS version on the iPhone and on the iPad?

iPhone 6 iOS 8.1.3, iPad Mini Retina Display iOS 8.1.3. Note: I have been able to publish other projects to this iPad from UE4…

Have you been able to deploy any project in 4.7 to this device? I know you mentioned it has worked before and for the iPhone, I just want to make sure it was on 4.7.

Can you remove the app from your iPad (the log shows that it found the com.YourCompany.MyProject bundle identifier on the device) and try again. It’s possible there is some stale data on the device or maybe an entitlements issue.

Hi, I have removed it and tried building again, same issue, launch failed. Also, to your previous question, perhaps you are right, i had success launching on iPad for 4.6 of the editor, but I just tried the simple vehicle demo new project file in the latest ue 4.7.1, and I cannot launch on iPad, same error.

Can you post the latest log after deleting the app?

Ok, looks like the same thing is happening. So you have launched on this in past version of the editor which means you have trusted the Mac. Have you ever viewed the device in the Xcode Devices window?

Haha, umm… both? Never though I could deploy without being connected with USB though… so yes, with USB as well.

Ok, just throwing that one out there as we have never tested over WiFi sync, and have no idea if it would work or what the errors would be. I’ll keep thinking about this. You’ve certainly found a case we didn’t find with the new deployment method and it is very similar to another users issue. They were able to get it to work by utilizing the Project Launcher. Have you tried that?

No, there isn’t. Although right now wishing there was :slight_smile: We switched deployment methods in 4.7 so that we wouldn’t be chained to Xcode to deploy and could unify our deployment scheme for both PC and Mac. You wouldn’t happen to have a PC per chance you could try this iPad on?
