Epic games launcher internet issues

When I try to run Epic games launcher it can’t connect to the internet, I have TLS enabled, I tried adding -HTTP=Curl, I turned off my anti-virus, I restarted/re-installed a few times and still nothing. Can someone help me plese?

Hi Zvon,

From the solutions that you have tried already, you may have already looked at this guide. If not, please see if there are any suggestions that will work for you.

If the issue persists, please follow the instructions towards the bottom of that page and post your ‘Verbose logs’.

I tried everything but nothing works. Also the epic launcher sometimes fails to load or loads and freezes, the help page said to run dxdiag, so I did - Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online. I hope this will help solve my issue

Can you try this? At the end of the Target path, add: " -http=wininet" without the quotes, then apply and restart your Launcher.

It works! Thank you!

Fixed my problem too. Your rock Max!

with this " -http=wininet" it works thanks

nothing works when I open it the program says no version information was received. retrying dosnt work so I hit ok and go to log in. when I do it says I have no internet connection when I am connected to decent wifi. I don’t know what is going on.

thx helped me aswell, but can some explain why? is it an unreal “problem” or something wrong with our systems?

Works, thank you.

I did the wininet in my launcher and now says loading but it never ends… Just say loadind but its not logging me in

Hi zmoke,

As mentioned here, could you create a answerhub post to report your problem in, as there’s no guarantee yours is related to this users, thanks.

Andrew

which file do I edit the target path on?

Hi samcarne12,

You add it to the end of the Launcher shortcut. You can find more info on it here.

Cheers,

TJ

Problem fixed! Thank you!

This will happen if you block lsass.exe from accessing the internet. After the launcher starts it asks this process to connect to several GoDaddy servers for what seems to be a version check. If it can’t connect it just sits there trying forever.

Open as Administrator worked for me.

I have a different issue. I can go online but it shows me offline in the top row. And I can’t get this little point green only in my home WLAN. What could be the problem? Thanks

Meanwhile I did everything you guys said but my epic games launcher still tells me I need to connect to the internet when I am!!!

If you think up a reason please notify me!
Thanks
