Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

When will the list of countries include Lebanon?

Basically this question is for Epic, when will the country 'Lebanon' be added/supported?

I noticed there is no entry for 'Lebanon' in the list of countries selectable for accounts in unreal engine.

I'm sorry, but government sanctions currently make it difficult to conduct business with individuals in Lebanon. We will continue to monitor the situation and update when possible.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Is it possible to know which sanction point exactly this is covered by?

For instance Microsoft legally distributes licenses to companies and individuals in lebanon, so maybe there is a workaround or certain technologies not covered here, plus i can use the info to bring this to the attention of the lebanese government to try to resolve it as well.

Dear sirs at Epic,

Pursuant to your last response to my request,

I have checked the USA's department of treasury sanctions against Lebanon

It states that technological and business sanctions are in effect against people on the (SDN) blocked list (Specially Designated Nationals List ) under PROHIBITED TRANSACTIONS

It does not state that the sanctions apply to everybody in Lebanon

Please check the link and get back to me if i am wrong/correct on this

You don't NEED to open an account to get unreal, not anymore at least, just make a github account, link it to your unreal account and you'll get an email once you have access to the source. Download, compile, create, have fun.

Hello RossenX, true github access is available But i dont think it is possible to settle the 5% royalty due to Epic Games if they don't support your country. That's why i am asking Epic for more clarification/support on this matter

We're looking into it, but unfortunately at this time I don't have a specific time frame.

Please try again - we've enabled access to Lebanon now

Hi Canon,

I just logged in to check, in my profile country list 'lebanon' is still not selectable

Also, https://www.unrealengine.com/ still blocks IPs from lebanon

Can you please look into this ?

I see that you're right about this; I'm very sorry for the additional delay. I'm asking the team to look into it right away.
