Downloading unreal

is there any direct download link of unreal engine 4 because i am facing issue which is when i download the launcher then start download unreal using the launcher ( i am in a country with low internet speed) so i i have to pause to turn off the computer but when i close the launcher the download is cancelled so the question is

is there any direct download link for unreal engine 4 ?
or
how can is pause the downloading by the launcher to turn off the computer and then resume it again ?
please help i am in big trouble

The Launcher supports resume. If you get so far with the download, then need to shut down the PC, just cancel the download with the x button to the bottom-right of the engine slot, or the x button to the right of the pending task in the task list accessed near the top right of the window.

The engine will then have a resume button, which will also still be there next time you run the Launcher.

Let us know how you get one!

The problem that you are having with not being able to access the internet is a known issue and has been submitted as a jira ticket at UE-8283. We are working hard to take care of this and I will let you know about any progress that I hear about it. If there is anything else that we can help with just let us know.

Thanks,

How is this going? Can we track the work ticket directly? I also require this added capability.

Hi Pysis868,

The JIRA mentioned above was for the Launcher using constant bandwidth. The developers investigated the issue but it was not reproducible internally so the report was closed.

As for a direct download link for UE4, this is not something that we currently plan to support. The options to download the engine are either through the Launcher or by downloading and compiling the source code through GitHub.

Cheers,

TJ

I am an indie developer and having this issue too with version 11. I am overseas and do not have much bandwith (my Internet is provided over WiFi). In response to TJ Ballard’s comment, if the developers were trying to duplicate internally I am sure they had enough bandwidth to successfully download. What they need to do is try downloading from a remote location such as what I and others are having to do. Then they would see the issue clearer. Trying to duplicate an issue using internal resources should not always be done. Whoever is trying to duplicate the problem needs to also duplicate the environment the requestor uses (i.e. slow bandwidth). So I request reopening the ticket and trying again with slower bandwidth. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Airontina Studio
