Hey guys, my problem is this: when I click to selecting it installer option “Troubleshoot Compatibility”, everything seems fine, the installer starts but halfway through the installation closes and the error displayed is: "Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is required when installing in windows 7. Please install SP1 … I installed Windows 7 Ultimate

You mentioned that you installed Windows 7 Ultimate, but did you actually install SP1 for it? You can do this using Windows Update.

Hi RMelmoth,

Windows 7 Ultimate may not contain Service Pack 1. It depends on how long ago you purchased it and when the disk was created.

Go to the Start menu and type ‘dxdiag’ into the search bar.
Once opened, select ‘Save All Info’.
Open that file and see if Service Pack 1 is listed.
If it is not listed, you will need to download it before the Launcher or editor will install.

Did you install service pack 1 after you installed windows? If you aren’t sure go to your start menu and click control panel and then go to system, it will say what service pack is installed under “Windows edition”.
