Easiest way to setup 2 laptops to play in multiplayer?

Hello everyone.

What I am trying to make is a simple multiplayer shooter game where my friend would be playing on his laptop while I play on mine. We want to create a quick 1 vs 1 shooter game and then present it to people somewhere.What would be the easiest and most practical way to do this?

One of you should launch a map with ?listen flag added to it. And another one should just type “open ip:port” in the console window to connect.
