Splatmap Resolution Detail Problem, Pixelated Textures

Hello!
I am a bit new to Unreal Engine 4 (4.7.1) and i have been working on to create a simple game in order to learn the basics. But the problem I am Facing is that I am not able to GET HIGH DETAILED SPLATMAPS (Weightmaps) :3
I Edited my Terrain from World Machine and also made a Flow Map and 2 Different SplatMaps (one for Rock part and one for Snow). No mater at what resolution I make my Terrain and the splatmaps, I always get a Pixelated blending. Though The problem gets solved with increasing the blending option in WM but I want to have the textures blended Sharply. Actually The splatmaps Itself dont have too many pixels to make the textures fine. the problem originates with the splatmap details therefore and I cant do anything for it. So Can anyone help me or tell me is there any way so that Unreal Engine itself renders the splatmaps, creating more pixels and making the Textures finer by some kind of Interpolation in itself after importing the Splatmaps??? PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey AshishKumar4 -

We had another user earlier that had this same problem and they found that all they needed to do is increase the falloff distance for their maps in World Machine and it solved this problem.

Isnt there any other way??? Increasing Falloff dosent seems good with my material. It makes it tooo unnatural. Any other way or Interpolation inside the editor itself??

I’m experiencing a pixelation problem with UE v4.7.3. In UE v4.4.3, I didn’t have this problem and the game rendered beautifully. But, after switching over, my game renders with very noticeable pixelation when playing in PIE (Play in Editor), Standalone, or DK2. The graphics looked phenomenal with UE v4.4.3.

Can a moderator or staff member address this issue? I checked the console log and confirmed that UE4 detected DirectX11 and wasn’t somehow using an older version which might contribute to a graphic quality downgrade.

It’s got to be something simple that has changed between the default handling of graphics display between UE 4.4.3 and UE 4.7.3.

One thing to note is when I view the game assets in the Editor viewport, the Map looks fine (no pixelation). Just when you play a game, the pixelation shows up.

Thanks for reading.
