Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

[Closed] UE4Editor unable to Launch

When attempting to Launch the Editor from the Unreal Engine Launcher application, I make it to the "Unreal Editor" loading screen. It seems to work, and even shows the UnrealProject Viewer, but then quickly closes itself and re-enables the Launch button in the Unreal Engine Launcher application.

What's odd is that I've got it to work after multiple attempts (I'm simply clicking Launch over and over again). I seem to have better odds of it staying open by launching the Editor through the "Content Examples" open option in the Launcher application. However, upon me quitting and attempting to reopen the Editor, I'm running into the same issue again.

Here are my system specs: Mac OSX 10.9.2 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1024 MB

Hi Stachmo,

This sounds a lot like another issue we had recently. Try the steps listed here: https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/13100/ue4-failing-to-start-on-osx-mavericks-assertion-fa.html to see if it fixes the problem.

Thank you and have a great day, Adam
