Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Make object/camera controls similar to Cinema 4D

I am a cinema 4D user and i have really gotten used to controling objects and the camera that way that cinema lets you. And though I love the ability to use wasd+r-click to fly around with the camera, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the camera controls more like those in cinema (like rotating around the point where you click if holding alt and dragging with the mouse).

Also, how do you change around the keybindings for actor controls (like using shift to select multiple objects, not ctrl) or will that break other functions (I've had programs that don't allow changes like that in the past).

Hey Knobbynobbes,

Check out this page about Viewport controls: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/UI/LevelEditor/Viewports/ViewportControls/index.html

Included on that page are references to Maya controls, which may be what you're looking for.

There are some keybindings you have access to as well that might be what you're looking for. Go to Edit > Editor Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts and see what you can find there.

Hope that helps!
