Is parallax occlusion mapping soon to be an engine feature?

I’ve heard rumours of this recently from other users. I’m concerned because I’ve nearly finished a parallax occlusion toolset that I was about to submit to the Marketplace, and knowing if/when this is going to happen is important.

It’s already in the default materials content package since day one. The cobble stone for example. It does not have silhouette clipping, so that would be a nice feature add in your material. There might already be a couple of parallax materials on the asset store though.

Ah yes I did know about that material. I should have clarified that I specifically meant a general-purpose solution with ray tracing etc. like mine has.

What do you mean with ray tracing?
