Why is my field of view in the perspective of view locked to a value of 5?

Whenever I create a new project, my field of view in the perspective camera is set to 5. I can increase the value from 5, but cannot decrease it (it can never be lower than 5). Even if I do make it bigger though, the moment I move back to the perspective view from the drop-down in the corner, the field of view snaps back to 5.

I tried setting everything back to default, as well as setting to default and restarting the computer with no success.

Why is my Unreal Editor obsessed with keeping the field of view at 5??

I having the exactly same problem.
Someone please help us!!

-reset the editor preferences
-make sure that you have pressed “enter” after you have chosen a new FOV value
-Reset your computer

DONE!

I have this problem, tried all of your suggestions and it still snaps back to 5 FOV. It’s incredibly frustrating…

Alright, had this problem just now. Turns out my plugged in xbox gamepad was being pressed against something else which was holding the right bumper down, and that zooms by reducing FOV when held.

I have a same problem, did you fix it?

This solved the issue for me. Disconnect the gamepad, close the engine, then set the engine fov back to ~60-80.
