Error 0xc000007b

Hello, I’ve just installed UE4 and when I try to run the Epic Game Luncher I get the 0xc000007b Error. I’ve already tried to fix the problem with DWalker as suggested in other threads but without suggess. You can find my log at the end of the post (some texts are in Italian, I hope that it’s not a problem since most of the terms are similar to english),

I tried to unistall and reinstall VC2013 but again without success.

Someone can help me?

Replace the new DLL in C:\Windows\System32, test if it works…

Will attach log, this same error happened to me when I was putting wrong version of DirectX .dll file, for ex. needed x86 and I placed x64 version in root dir of app. Here is my log

Thank you for the help but it didn’t help me.

I tried more and more time reinstalling VC2013 / 2010 / 2008 and tried again to run DWalker to see if the log changed… At the end a problem with d3dcompiler_43.dll appared… So I simply searched it and downloaded it… Now it seems to work.

Hi swissmistery,

From your log file it looks like you are using Windows Vista. This is a unsupported operating system.

Here is our recommended specs:

  • Desktop PC with Windows 7 64-bit or a Mac with Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later

  • 8 GB RAM

  • Quad-core Intel or AMD processor

  • DX11 compatible video card. UE4 will run on desktops and laptops below these recommendations, but performance may be limited.

You can find more info here.

Cheers,

TJ

Actually I have W7 64 bit…

Anyway I fixed my problem 1 hour ago, check my comment on my question.

Thank you anyway

That’s odd that the logs showed your OS incorrectly, I’ll look into that. Anyways, I’m glad you got it working.

Have a good day!

I can confirm on my win7x64 placing d3dcompiler_43.dll (x64ver) in EpicGamesLauncher fixed issue  Tnx
