Can I run UE4

Hello, I wish to use UE4…
Here are my specs.

  1. 4GBs of RAM
  2. Core2 Duo E7500 2.93 GHzProcessor.
  3. GT 640 1GB GDDR5 (OverClocked @ 20%)
  4. Windows 8.1 x64.

Will it run?

The weakest point is RAM and CPU, 8GB would be better, 4GB fills very easily with UE4, with CPU, 4 core is recomanded, GPU is actully OKish.

As UE4 is free now nothing really stops you to check how it runs on this hardware

Ok, thanks, I guess I will give it a shot, and non Epic settings will work fine… and as for RAM, I’m pretty much stuck as my G41 mobo doesn’t support anything above that, planning to build a new rig though…

You can run it but it wont be a pleasant experience. Take a look at this thread to see how the editor performs on a variety of hardware.

Thanks mate, that gave me an idea. :slight_smile: I will download it and hope for atleast 30+ FPS.
