Multiple Shaders compiling constantly and locking up UE4 4.7.2

I have been going through some of the beginner tutorials (New user) and everything works fine until I start adding materials to the scene. All my cpu’s get maxed out and a message sometimes comes up that shaders are compiling. Is there a way to manually compile shaders? This is making it impossible to model anything. Has anyone else experienced this? I am on a brand new MAC as well so I do not see this being the issue. If I am working in a scene for more than an hour ultimately UE4 4.7.2 ends up crashing.

16 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3
Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB Graphics

Omg thank you. Thats exactly what I was looking for. This boosted the overall performance by alot.

The video is not available any more. What is the title of the video?

What was in the video?

Go in Config folder and open BaseEngine.ini then look for “bAllowAsynchronousShaderCompiling”. Set this to FALSE and that’s it. Reply if you have problem.

You Rock m8 Going to make video on this for others also explaining what it does…

works the shaders within UE4 process… guess this great for engine speed if your core processors can handle one blazing both functions (UE4 engine + shader logic)… guessing this is the angle… ALL the same Woo worked m8 like a charm…
