Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Multiple Shaders compiling constantly and locking up UE4 4.7.2

I have been going through some of the beginner tutorials (New user) and everything works fine until I start adding materials to the scene. All my cpu's get maxed out and a message sometimes comes up that shaders are compiling. Is there a way to manually compile shaders? This is making it impossible to model anything. Has anyone else experienced this? I am on a brand new MAC as well so I do not see this being the issue. If I am working in a scene for more than an hour ultimately UE4 4.7.2 ends up crashing.

Go in Config folder and open BaseEngine.ini then look for "bAllowAsynchronousShaderCompiling". Set this to FALSE and that's it. Reply if you have problem.

You Rock m8 Going to make video on this for others also explaining what it does...

works the shaders within UE4 process.. guess this great for engine speed if your core processors can handle one blazing both functions (UE4 engine + shader logic)... guessing this is the angle... ALL the same Woo worked m8 like a charm..
