General question about Oculus VR

I seen a post from Mark Zukerberg today announcing that Facebook is purchasing Oculas VR. As I am new to Unreal Engine 4, and I’m just stating that I’m not developing for Oculus VR nor have any intentions to do so for some time, how will this effect Unreal Engines Oculus VR support and SDK support?

I imagine this actually alleviates some developer’s fears. I am much comfortable making a game knowing this is backed by a huge company like facebook now. Less likely to fail in the end. Larger budget to make CV1/CV2 even better.

I will have to agree with haggler2 on this one. Although I’m not a fan of Facebook buying Oculus. Its goes much deeper than just that. The same company that gave Oculus their 75 million or what ever. Is the same guy on the board at Facebook. All in all every person to adopt and every positive thing shown or said, and even competition will all add to the value of VR as a way of life.
