Using UE4 assets and releasing to the Marketplace

Hi there
At the moment I am currently making a space museum walk through and I’ve just realized some of the models and textures I’ve been using are starter content with the UE4 engine. If I submitted my project on completion to the Marketplace, will I get in trouble for using the assets or anything? I plan on releasing this for free eventually and it is light years away from completion but if I gave credit obviously to Unreal for the assets, would this be allowed? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The marketplace is primarily used to sell assets and development resources. There are a couple of showcases available, but as far as I can tell none of them use default engine assets. The advanced top down project, however, uses the default blue character.

That being said, you should continue to work on your project, and submit it when the time is right - Epic has the final say, and if you’ve got something awesome to show off it is unlikely that they wouldn’t be willing to work with you.

Yeah you’re right. I’m only using a handful of texture and 2 models so in worse case scenario I make my own and use them but I like I said it would eventually be released for free on the Marketplace and I would gladly give credit to Unreal for the textures and models. Thanks for getting back to me.
