Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How to set packaged game resolution?

I can't find any option in the editor to set packaged project settings.

In the project folder I've found: \Unreal Projects\UnrealPlayground\Saved\Config\Windows\GameSettings.ini which seems to be the source of the settings.

Can I modify it in the editor? I guess it is packaged with all the rest in the .pak file when I pack the project

Hey mude and DiabloInc,

Under Quick Settings in the Toolbar, you can set Resolution for the project. Take a look at the documentation here and see if it answers some of your questions: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Rendering/Scalability/ScalabilityReference/index.html

Hope that helps!

Yes and no. I mean it should but I still see no control over exactly what resolution the packaged game will be.

But no stress.

I found a way to control just that after packaging the project.

I ended up editing GameUserSettings.ini PCGame\WindowsNoEditor\MyProject\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor PCGame - is the folder that I created for the packaged project.

I have set the resolution for when the game starts [windowed] to 720p and changed bUseDesktopResolutionForFullscreen=True.

That seams to work perfectly for what I needed.

Glad you found what you were looking for! Our documentation team is currently working to better illuminate the packaging process, and hopefully we'll have something more concise soon.

Best, Ben Halliday
