Destructable meshes on android

I tried on my android, because i read that somehow its possibly. I created a line trace weapon, which applys damage to the obejct it hits. When i first launched the Game on my mobile, i couldnt even see the destructable meshes. But when i added some other, i could finally see them. But the are already broken, and i could walk right true them. has anyone a solution, to fix this?

Sorry, but at the moment APEX Destruction and Cloth are not supported for mobile development.

It’s on the list to work on in the future though!

Hello

Maybe there is any news, when destructibles gona work on android?

No news at the time. This is on the backlog of issues to tackle. With that in mind it may be a quite while before it’s added. Destructibles are very CPU heavy and most phones would probably have performance issues when using them.

Regardless you can follow UE4 Roadmap and Engine status updates here: Trello

If you wanted to use Destruction Meshes on mobile you would want to have multiple meshes. A base mesh and then your pre-fractured static mesh that can swap in when destroyed.

Hi,

How might this be achieved? When I try to import a pre-fractured static mesh with a collision mesh for each chunk, the static mesh always acts as if all chunks are welded together.

I have tried selecting “Multi Body Overlap” but this doesn’t seem to do anything.

Been about a year since and update on this. Is there an ETA for this?

Any update on this issue Mr. Hobson? It is now May 19, 2017, and I do not see any updates to the trello link you posted which does not indicate any change since June 2015.
