Hello
I am trying to package a project , though i am getting this error :
MainFrameActions: Packaging (Windows): Program.Main: ERROR: AutomationTool terminated with exception:
MainFrameActions: Packaging (Windows): Program.Main: ERROR: Exception in AutomationTool: No files found to deploy for C:\Oleg\UDK4\Unreal Engine 4\UnrealEngine-4.0\Engine\Binaries\Win64 with wildcard UE4Game.exe and exclusions
Switch the configuration of UE4.sln from “Development Editor” to “Development” and recompile, your problem will be solved. The configuration is “Development Editor” by default, and it includes only the editor.
Hi, thanks @Luoshuang, this seems to work… for “Launch” only!
In facts, this fixed the “BUILD FAILED” error, but I still does not get game Binaries!
While the pre-build/downloaded UE4 Editor works just fine (as said in the accepted answer)
Hello, I got same error.
About my case, Probrem is in fullwidth(2byte) character using of WindowsUserName. It is cause of Filepath corrupted.
Then, I created new windows local user by the name of “owner” (or any name halfwidth character only).
Once windows sign out, and sign in of created user.
Launch UE4, so I succeeded packaging Project.
In UE4.4 on windows 8.1 x64 i can’t package or launch any game in any case :
and i try UE4.4 on windows 7 x64 also the same of first case.
but using UE4.2 on the same windows i can only launch the game while there is no imported mesh in the level (not in the content browser) but if i inter any object within the level i can’t even launch the game :
i got the same error in all case.
any idea?!!
