Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hi banishlight,

Could you please post your system specs? Directions on how to find all the info that we need is below.

Windows: Go to the Start menu and type ‘dxdiag’ into the search bar. Open that file and then click ‘Save All Information’. Post that text file here.

Mac: Go to the Apple menu and click ‘About This Mac’.

I put your dxdiag into a text file to keep the chat more clear.

dxdiag

dxdiag.txt (58.5 kB)

It looks like you just need the Windows Service Pack 1 update. Download that and then try to open the UE4 and UT again. Post back here to let me know if it works. If not we will keep troubleshooting.

Cheer,

TJ

I tried to install windows service pack 1 before but it says files are missing so i wasn't able to install it.

Service Pack 1 is required to run the Launcher and UE4. I suggest contacting Microsoft support and have them troubleshoot the issue with you.
