UE4 in web browser?

I’ve found this article where Mozilla runs UE4 in web browser: https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2014/0...ng-in-firefox/

I’ve been looking into how to do this, and I’ve figured that you need Emscripten in order to make it work. However, I’m an environment artist with no programming skills whatsoever, so the tutorial on their site might as well have been written in Ancient Greek…

Does anyone have any useful tips to give me? For instance where I should start, what programs to use? Is there a plugin for UE4 coming that will help?

I’d be most grateful for any response!

Adrian

I believe the engine if you compile from the source on GitHub has an HTML5 build target. There is a video on how to compile source, it doesn’t take programming, just setting up some tools and following instructions.

Trabajare en un manual en PDF sobre todo eso.

Thank you for your reply!

I’m still unsure what I should do though…

Let’s say I have a finished game, that’s cooked into an installer file. Could I just follow this video, and the code will be available to me?

Where do I get the C++ code?

Might be a silly question, but this is out of my depth

This answer is not complete. As the original asker of the question you reference, the OP’s question is not adequately answered.

This video doesn’t discuss how to build such that HTML5 shows up as a project package.

It served as a pointer to the other question (yours). It also prevents fragmentation and helps people find things faster.

And I see you’ve updated your original question with additional comments that other users might find useful, therefore, taking the conversation there made more sense.
